Yeah, I’ve been out of supersonic swan lake for a while but wasn’t lying idle, no. Had plenty of work to put up with but now it’s time to share the love!!!

Below yet another presentation, this time on what’s going on with Air India – the troubled national carrier of India (yes, yes – it is still not Emirates!). As in title, it’s a global outlook but don’t be surprised! – AI is in a poor state at the moment so there’s a lot of talk on internal problems and strategic solutions. Enjoy!

Is Air India gonna make it through turbulent skies? Or would they be better off folding the business and let Emirates do their job? Would indeed no Indian shed a tear as Shashank of simpliflying.com predicts? Share your thoughts!

A little presentation as a sum up to the debate – Ryanair and ancillary revenue growth as a business strategy.

Do you think an ancillary-revenue-only (or similar) strategy would be viable? Will Ryanair’s strategy remain profitable? Share your thoughts!

Just an interesting video I digged out on youtube the other day. More on the subject coming soon.

Do you think EU ETS is truly green? Or is it rather pass-the-buck-on type of legislation?

EDIT: To balance off the video, a radical vision of the ETSs from The Ecologist can be viewed here

Back in the day, when I still lived in the shade of Gaudi’s Sagrada Familia, there were plenty of protests against the AVE down in sunny Catalunya’s capital. Although high-speed rail connections have been widely recognised as environmentally less harmful and generally more convinient for everyone than airlines, the Spaniards (sorry, the Catalans) did not want it. Especially nowhere near the Sagrada Familia which apparently was deemed to collapse without ever being finished as soon as AVE comes to town. You see, people are very hardly pleased by anything…
